The noble Venetians of old, with the blossoming of the first wisteria, went up river (the Brenta) to their summer residences.
The Gradenigo, Pisani, Widmann and Rezzonico families dressed up their country dwellings on the Brenta Riviera as if they were palaces on the Grand Canal, exploding into grandeur with the supervisor of the most important architects, i.e. Palladio.
